Ceasefire can be achieved in few days if Russia agrees - Rubio

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that a ceasefire could be reached in a few days if the Russians agree.
This is reported by The New York Times, Censor.NET reports.
"Here's what we would like the world to look like in a few days: neither side firing at each other - no missiles, no bullets, no artillery, no nothing. The shooting stops, the fighting stops, and negotiations begin," the Secretary of State said.
He also added that he plans to persuade the Group of Seven members to focus on ending the war in Ukraine at a meeting this week in Canada.
Rubio said that U.S. officials plan to "reach out" to Russian officials on Wednesday to discuss the proposed ceasefire.
"If their answer is negative, it will be very unfortunate, and it will make their intentions clear," he added.
As reported, after the talks in Jeddah, the United States will resume military assistance, and a 30-day ceasefire will be discussed with Russia. Zelenskyy later clarified that Ukraine is ready for a complete ceasefire if the "Ruskies" are ready.
