US and Russia will hold talks in Jeddah on March 23. Talks will focus on Trump’s agreements with Putin - Witkoff

On March 23, 2025, a new stage of negotiations between the US and Russian delegations will take place in Jeddah regarding the agreements reached during yesterday's telephone conversation between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
Trump's special representative for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, said this in an interview with Fox News, Censor.NET reports with reference to Suspilne.
According to him, Trump's National Security Advisor Mike Volz and Secretary of State Marco Rubio will travel to Saudi Arabia. The official added that the ceasefire agreement includes a pause in strikes on all infrastructure in general, not just energy.
He also noted that the issue of ending strikes on infrastructure and targets in the Black Sea "has already been agreed with the Russians" and the United States is waiting for support from the Ukrainian side.
I certainly hope that the Ukrainians will agree to this. We certainly have some details to discuss, but it will start on Sunday in Jeddah and we will have a good conversation to achieve positive results," said Witkoff.
It is not yet known whether Ukraine will be present at these talks. Russia also did not officially announce talks with the United States on March 23.
Earlier, it was reported that Trump and Putin agreed that the movement toward peace would begin with a ceasefire on energy and infrastructure.
And late on Tuesday night, March 18, Russian invaders hit a healthcare facility in the city of Sumy with a "shahed".
