British Special Forces put on alert for deployment to Ukraine - media

The UK's Special Forces are likely to be put on standby to be deployed to Ukraine as part of a peacekeeping mission.
This is reported by The i Paper with reference to two military interlocutors, Censor.NET reports.
Thus, the interlocutors, who are familiar with the relevant directive, noted that special forces units were instructed to prepare for mobilization to Ukraine. This was stated by military planners in charge of preparing the forces in the government.
Last week, according to the newspaper, the UK's military planning command center, the Permanent Joint Headquarters (PJHQ), received directives to begin the process of deploying personnel and resources.
The orders, which also apply to the Special Forces Reservists, provide for the personnel to be put on alert to ensure the availability of military equipment before receiving a notice of mobilization to Ukraine.
The decision was made as the UK prepares to host military leaders from a group of countries ready to support the ceasefire agreement with Russia.
Earlier it was reported that the UK could send 10,000 troops to Ukraine.
On Saturday, March 15, an online meeting of the "coalition of the willing" took place. Following the meeting, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that military leaders from a number of countries plan to meet in the UK on March 20 to discuss support for Ukraine's future security.
