Soldier, former cameraman of PTV UA TV channel Artur Shybalov died in war

On March 13, a soldier, former cameraman, and montage specialist of the PTV UA TV channel, Artur Shybalov from Poltava, was killed in the Kursk region (Russian Federation).
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Institute of Mass Information.
"You had completely different plans for life. You wanted to make films and write books. You studied so much for this. But you believed it was impossible to hide and not accept the challenge. My sun has gone out," wrote his mother, Tetiana Shybalova.
Diana Strashko, editor-in-chief of the Poltavska Dumka newspaper, shared her memories of working with Artur Shybalov. According to her, 26-year-old Artur joined the military in 2024.
"We worked together for several years, starting in 2017. He edited videos, learning everything from scratch. But later, he also mastered the video camera. Artur was kind and never refused to help. I was moved when I found out that he wanted to become a writer—we never even knew. Just recently, he wrote on social media about receiving his first official rejection from a publisher," the journalist recalls.
Artur Shybalov is the younger brother of journalist, military man, and former prisoner of war Yevhen Shybalov.
According to the Institute of Mass Information, Artur Shybalov became the 101st journalist killed by Russia since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
