Norwegian company NAMMO and Ukrainian manufacturers to jointly produce 155-mm shells

On March 20, in the Norwegian city of Raufoss, NAMMO and one of the leading Ukrainian defense companies signed a joint statement of strategic cooperation to expand their existing cooperation.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Minister for Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin.
He said that last year Ukraine launched mass production of 155 mm ammunition. Today, this is the main artillery caliber of the Ukrainian army and NATO member states. The national defense industry should increase its production.
What does the cooperation entail?
The partnership builds on the successful cooperation in the transfer of 155mm artillery ammunition production technology to Ukraine, which is supported by the bilateral governments of Norway and Ukraine. This cooperation will contribute to meeting Ukraine's needs for sovereign and national ammunition production.
NAMMO is one of the largest ammunition manufacturers in Europe. I am grateful to the company's management for their willingness to cooperate with Ukrainian producers. Special thanks to Andreas Flem, State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Norway, for his presence and support of this cooperation at the state level," Smetanin said.
"Ukraine's defense capability is the foundation of security in Europe. We continue to build the #Arsenal of the Free World in Ukraine and thank all partners who are involved in this process," the minister emphasized.
