US to organize "indirect talks" between Ukraine and Russia in Saudi Arabia – Kellogg

Kellogg announces indirect talks between Ukraine and Russia on March 24

On Monday, March 24, so-called "indirect talks" between representatives of Ukraine and Russia will take place in Saudi Arabia, organized by the United States. Washington wants to know the parties' position on a ceasefire.

This was announced by the special representative of US President Donald Trump in Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, in an interview with ABC News, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, the American side wants to know the conditions and position of Russia and Ukraine on the ceasefire in one day.

"This week we are sending so-called technical teams to the so-called indirect talks in Saudi Arabia, when both sides will be in different rooms. They will negotiate with them," Kellogg said.

According to the special envoy, the talks will be attended by part of his team, National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, US Secretary of State Mark Rubio, and US Director of Policy Planning Michael Anton.

"This is shuttle diplomacy between rooms in Riyadh... Let's see if we can achieve a comprehensive ceasefire. This will be the first step towards ending the war. These will be negotiations based on the principle of proximity, that is, one group will be in one room, the other group in another. Then we will find out where the parties stand," Kellogg added.
