Air defense destroyed over 1,115 enemy air targets in week - Air Force
During the week of March 17-23, the air defense of the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed more than 1115 Russian air targets.
This is reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET informs.
In particular, they destroyed:
- 625 attack UAVs of the Shahed type ;
- 250 reconnaissance UAVs;
- 240 other types of UAVs.
It is also reported that the Air Force aviation flew about 160 sorties during the week, including
- more than 90 - for fighter air cover;
- about 50 - for fire damage and air support of troops.
"Air Force pilots conducted dozens of air strikes on enemy positions, using aircraft bombs and missiles of various types. Command posts, logistics facilities, as well as places of concentration of enemy manpower and military equipment were hit," the Air Force said.
Over the past week, units of unmanned aerial vehicles of the Combined Arms Rifle Brigade of the Air Force conducted 823 combat sorties, including:
- 750 reconnaissance sorties using UAVs;
- 73 sorties for the use of drops and FPV drones.
It is noted that as a result of this, the enemy's combat losses are approximately:
- more than 50 people;
- 22 enemy shelters;
- 3 enemy UAV launch sites were destroyed.
