Special Representative of the US President Steve Witkoff said that during the talks in Saudi Arabia there will be "real progress", in particular on the ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia in the Black Sea.
He said this in an interview with Fox News, Reuters reports, Censor.NET informs.
"I think that you will see some real progress in Saudi Arabia on Monday (March 24 - ed. ), especially with regard to the ceasefire in the Black Sea regarding ships between the two countries. And from that, you will naturally gravitate toward a full ceasefire," the American official said.
In addition, Witkoff said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin allegedly "wants peace."
"I feel that he wants peace," Trump's special representative said.
Earlier it was reported that on Sunday evening, March 23, representatives of Ukraine and the United States will meet in Saudi Arabia to discuss a possible partial ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.
This meeting will take place a day before the talks between the American and Russian delegations scheduled for Monday, March 24.
