FSB agent who spied in Kirovohrad region sentenced to 15 years in prison - SSU

An FSB agent who was preparing Russian missile and drone strikes in the Kirovohrad region was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press service of the SSU.
Among the main targets of the enemy were the headquarters and reserve command posts of the Defense Forces.
"In order to "break through" Ukrainian air defense, the agent tried to identify the combat positions of radar stations and anti-aircraft missile systems of the Armed Forces. The enemy was also interested in the basing points and routes of mobile fire groups protecting the airspace of the region.
After completing these tasks, the occupiers promised their accomplice "evacuation" to Russia through third countries and further employment in the FSB," the statement said.
In July 2023, the SSU detained the agent red-handed while he was photographing the outer perimeter of a military facility.
"The FSB agent turned out to be a resident of the frontline city of Toretsk in the Donetsk region, who, on the instructions of the occupiers, moved to the central region of Ukraine as an 'IDP'. After the move, the traitor got a job as a laborer in a military unit to collect intelligence through new contacts. He also went around the area on his own, taking photos and marking possible locations of the Defense Forces on Google maps.
During the search, a cell phone with evidence of communication with the FSB was seized from him," the SSU added.
The FSB agent was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
