Ukraine names three "red lines" regarding peace agreements with Russia at UN Security Council

Ukraine has familiarized the members of the Security Council with the conditions that should be taken into account when reaching any peace agreement with Russia.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Ukrinform.
Acting Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Khrystyna Haiovyshyn outlined three principled positions:
"First, we do not recognize any temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine as Russian. Secondly, we will not accept any foreign dictates on the structure, size, and other characteristics of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Thirdly, we will not accept any restrictions on Ukraine's sovereignty, our domestic and foreign policy, including the choice of alliances we would like to join."
According to Haiovyshyn, Ukraine agreed to the proposal for an immediate 30-day ceasefire, but "Russia's refusal to support it is a clear proof of who is the obstacle to peace." The most important aspect of any future peace agreement is that the temporary ceasefire does not turn into a frozen conflict, she emphasized.
The current ceasefire efforts, reached following consultations in Riyadh on March 23-25, are only a measure that should lay the groundwork for permanent peace, she said.
According to the diplomat, Ukraine and the United States agreed on a ceasefire on energy facilities, and it "came into force at the moment when the relevant statement was published following the Ukrainian-American meeting," that is, on March 25.
The agreement between Ukraine and the United States on a ceasefire in the Black Sea applies not only to civilian shipping but also to ports, she added.
"We believe that the maritime agreement does not apply to Russian warships. If Russian warships, currently concentrated in the eastern part of the Black Sea, enter our territorial waters, Ukraine will consider it a threat and will exercise its right to reliable defense," the representative of Ukraine to the UN emphasized.
She noted that the Russian Federation talks about peace, but almost every day, it launches brutal attacks on densely populated residential areas of large Ukrainian cities. Haiovyshyn spoke in detail about Russian attacks on Ukraine since March 1.
"To determine whether Russia is serious about peace or intends to deceive the United States and the world, it is important that any diplomacy with Moscow is backed by sanctions, pressure and increased support for Ukraine to push Russia to peace," the diplomat said. According to her, if Russia manipulates the new ceasefire, "we will work with our partners to increase pressure."
Ukraine's representative to the UN noted that Ukraine needs further international support, including the supply of weapons, to continue its fight against aggression.
