Zelenskyy: Ukraine did not discuss easing sanctions against Russia in Saudi Arabia

At the moment, even easing sanctions against Russia is premature.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, Censor.NET reports.
Instead, according to Zelenskyy, Ukraine will separately discuss with the EU the preparation of new sanctions packages until Russia wants to end this war. And the lifting of sanctions is the next step.
"The agenda of our meeting with the American side during the meeting in Saudi Arabia did not include the issue of sanctions. In fact, there was a meeting in one country, and we saw three declarations. It's not so easy to understand. But in our (with the US - Ed.) bilateral agreement, we discussed the sky, the sea, children, and captured military and civilians. These were the issues we discussed. We also discussed halting any strikes on any civilian infrastructure, and it seems that our American partners supported us, but we did not receive support from the Russian side at this point. Therefore, the issue of sanctions in Saudi Arabia was not raised for us. And that's why we treat it this way: somewhere, someone is talking about something," the president emphasized.
As a reminder, following the talks with the US in Saudi Arabia, Russia put forward a number of demands for the lifting of sanctions to declare a ceasefire in the Black Sea. Trump said that the United States would consider Russia's conditions for a ceasefire in the Black Sea.
