77% of Ukrainians are against elections without security guarantees - KIIS poll

77% of Ukrainians are against elections without security guarantees

The majority of Ukrainians (77%) believe that elections in Ukraine should be held only after receiving security guarantees or the final end of the war.

This is evidenced by the results of a KIIS poll, Censor.NET reports.

As noted, only 19% support elections now or after a temporary truce, even without guarantees.

Even in the case of a ceasefire with certain security guarantees, 78% of respondents believe that elections should take place only after the war is finally over.

The study also showed a link between support for elections and the level of trust in President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Among those who trust him, 90% are against holding elections in the current environment. Among those who do not trust him, 50% also do not support the elections, while 46% are in favor of holding them.

The survey was conducted by telephone interviews on the territory controlled by the government of Ukraine. It involved 1326 respondents over the age of 18.
