Occupiers are trying to cross Dnipro and seize bridgehead on right bank of Kherson region, - Southern Defence Forces

Russian troops are systematically trying to land on the right bank of the Kherson region to create a bridgehead there.
The spokesman for the Southern Defence Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, said this on television, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"Over the past day, the enemy's firepower has slightly increased, and in particular the number of attacks by FPV drones. We recorded 530 such attacks, and this figure is higher than the average in this area, which is 450-470 attacks per day. In addition, fire activity from multiple rocket launchers and artillery systems has not decreased. As for the number of assault attacks, there were not as many of them in the south over the last day as on other days - a total of 8: 4 in the Huliaipillia sector, 2 in the Orikhivsk sector and 2 in the Prydniprovskyi sector," noted Voloshyn.
At the same time, he stressed that over 300 combat engagements took place over the past month, the enemy was most active in the Orikhivsk and Huliaipillia sectors.
According to the spokesman, the enemy attempted to storm the Huliaipillia sector in the area of Pryvilne and Vilne Pole, the Orikhivsk sector - to break through to Mali Shcherbaky and Stepove, the Prydniprovskyi sector - to cross to the right bank near Sadove.
Voloshyn noted that in both the Huliaipillia and Orikhiv directions, the enemy is amassing certain forces and means of assault groups, as well as weapons and military equipment to conduct such assault operations. These are small-group combat actions to improve the tactical situation, not a strategic offensive.
Commenting on the situation in the Kherson region, the spokesman said that in the Kherson sector the contact line runs along the Dnipro riverbed. The enemy is trying to move to the island area, which is under the fire control of the Ukrainian Defence Forces. However, the enemy is trying to land and seize a certain foothold, constantly conducting sabotage and search operations.
"Small groups of infantry are trying to cross the Dnipro River, through the Dnipro Straits, to the island area by boat. They are trying to seize this bridgehead in order to fire on the right bank, where our positions are located, where many of our settlements are concentrated," Voloshyn said.
He informed that over the past day the enemy tried to land near Sadove village and was active near Antonivske bridges.
