Modernisation of training course has already yielded results. In March, we recorded decrease in our losses, - Syrskyi

Ukraine’s losses in war

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi heard reports from the heads of military command and control bodies on problematic issues such as manning units and restoring their combat capability.

Syrskyi wrote about this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, they also discussed the formation of new army corps, logistics and repair of military equipment.

"I have set tasks for April. I drew attention to the need to increase the number of fibre-optic drones that are resistant to enemy electronic warfare. In addition, I set tasks for manning combat brigades," he said.

Syrskyi also stressed the need to improve the quality of training, as the lives of our soldiers depend on it.

"We have upgraded the BGMT course and extended its duration to 1.5 months, introduced a mandatory adaptation period for newcomers to combat brigades, and this is yielding positive results - this month we recorded a decrease in losses compared to the previous months. However, there is still work to be done. We need to achieve the highest standards of training," the Commander-in-Chief noted.

He also stressed the problems of development and set a task to maximise the combat capabilities of the brigades.

"Another important issue under consideration is the maintenance and preparation of weapons for operation in the spring and summer season, increasing the protection of various types of military equipment from FPV drones and maximum use the combat capabilities of equipment," Syrskyi concluded.
