Moldova expels three Russian diplomats from country
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova has announced the expulsion of three employees of the Russian Embassy from the country.
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to Yevropeiska Pravda.
It is noted that the Moldovan Foreign Ministry summoned Russian Ambassador Oleg Ozerov on Monday and handed him a "note declaring three employees of the Russian Embassy undesirable persons."
"The decision of the Moldovan authorities is based on clear evidence of activities that contradict the diplomatic status on the territory of the Republic of Moldova. The diplomats must leave the country," the statement reads.
The Moldovan Foreign Ministry did not specify the reasons for the expulsion of the Russian embassy staff.
Earlier, the Moldovan Security and Information Service announced that MP Alexandru Nesterovschi, who was sentenced to 12 years in prison in the case of illegal financing of the Shor party, ended up in Transnistria with the help of Russian "diplomats."
