Ukraine and Moldova sign memorandum of cooperation in field of European integration

Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna and her Moldovan counterpart Cristina Gherasimov have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of European integration.
This is reported by the Government portal, Censor.NET informs.
"I am glad to sign a document with you today that will only strengthen the cooperation of our two countries on the path to EU membership. Despite the times of global turbulence, European integration remains an unchanging goal for our countries, and we are ready to go to it hand in hand," Stefanishyna said.
The memorandum will promote bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova, exchange of knowledge in the field of European integration, and preparation for full EU membership.
The document defines key areas of cooperation, including:
- exchange of experience in negotiating accession to the EU;
- harmonization of national legislation with the European one;
- cooperation in the area of the rule of law;
- exchange of information on financial support from the EU;
- strengthening communication with society on European integration.
It is noted that an Action Plan will be developed and adopted to implement the cooperation. It provides for regular meetings of the chief negotiators and their teams, as well as the work of a joint working group that will coordinate the implementation of the memorandum.
In addition, the countries plan to hold joint events, study visits, seminars, and workshops to train specialists in the field of European integration.
