The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that in 2025 the total financing gap for the country's reconstruction will amount to nearly $10 billion.

He announced this following the 13th meeting of the Steering Committee of the Platform, Censor.NET reports.

As noted, this year the government has allocated about $7.4 billion for priority recovery with the support of international donors, but the needs are still significant.

"This year, we see the key areas of joint work of the Ukrainian Donor Platform as budget support, sustainable financing of infrastructure, housing, energy, economic development and investment attraction on the way to the EU," Shmyhal emphasized.

The Prime Minister also emphasized that the total need for international support this year is $39.3 billion, and Ukraine has confirmation from its partners that this amount will be covered.

"We are moving towards membership in the European Union. Our goal for this year is to maximize sectoral integration and open negotiations in all 6 clusters. We are focused on the further implementation of joint agreements and the implementation of reforms necessary for Ukraine," Shmyhal said.
