Denmark provides Ukraine with another aid package worth almost $1 billion for air defence, artillery and financial support for the air force

Denmark’s assistance to Ukraine

Denmark has announced the 25th aid package for Ukraine, worth DKK 6.7 billion (almost USD 970 million). The new package provides military support to Ukraine for 2025-2027 and is funded by the Ukrainian Fund.

According to Censor.NET, this is said in a statement by the Danish Ministry of Defence.

The key elements of the package are air defence, artillery and financial support for the Ukrainian Air Force.

"The security situation is changing rapidly. Therefore, it is very important that Denmark continues its large-scale support for Ukraine... With the 25th aid package, we emphasise our support for Ukraine in both the short and long term," said Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

For his part, Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen noted that the new package would "strengthen Ukraine's combat power".

"Ukraine's security is crucial for the future of the whole of Europe. I hope that our assistance will inspire other allies to provide even more support," he stressed.

In particular, in 2025-27, DKK 1.4 billion will be allocated for the transfer of artillery and ammunition. In addition, funds will be allocated for air defence, the drone coalition and the IT coalition.

Funds will also be allocated to increase investments in the Ukrainian defence industry, taking into account the positive experience of the "Danish model".

Danish funding over several years will also support ongoing efforts to encourage Allies to contribute through this model.

The "Danish Model" has shown that Ukraine has the potential to produce and supply equipment for Ukraine's fight for freedom. Denmark should continue to invest in this, and I hope that other countries will follow our example even more," said Poulsen.
