DOT-Chain Defense IT system has been presented to improve supply of frontline servicemen — Ministry of Defense

DOT-Chain Defense IT system

The State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition has presented a demo version of DOT-Chain Defense — an IT system aimed at improving the supply of frontline military units — to manufacturers of unmanned systems.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense, Censor.NET reports.

According to the ministry, the system is designed to support the provision of military units with unmanned aerial vehicles, ground robotic systems, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and signals intelligence (SIGINT) equipment.

First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk, stated that a production cluster for unmanned systems has been established and is actively developing in Ukraine. At the same time, given current challenges, there is a growing need for the continuous improvement of various types of unmanned systems.

Havryliuk emphasized that the Ministry of Defense is working on mechanisms to respond more effectively to the urgent needs of the Armed Forces. The DOT-Chain Defense IT system is one such mechanism.

According to him, the system will operate in a "marketplace" format, where military units will be able to choose the types and quantity of equipment they need. Thus, the provision of unmanned systems to the military will become more efficient, more targeted and functionally relevant.

The system's functionality was presented to the arms and military equipment manufacturers, who were given the opportunity to test it personally and get answers to their questions.
