Ukraine has partially solved problem of military shortage at front – Cavoli

Christopher Cavoli: Ukraine has solved the problem of lack of soldiers

Ukraine seems to have overcome a certain shortage of military personnel to fight the Russian army, in particular due to an increase in the number of conscripts.

This was stated on Thursday by the Commander of NATO's Allied Forces Europe, General Christopher Cavoli, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have taken up well-fortified defensive positions, and the situation with the shortage of personnel, which was critical last fall, has improved.

"The Ukrainians, for their part, have taken up very strong defensive positions, well fortified, and it seems that they have solved some of their problems with manpower, which were particularly acute last fall," the general said.

Cavoli noted that Ukraine has been able to expand the reserve of mobilization resources and volunteers, as well as effectively redeploy personnel, bringing more soldiers to combat units.

At the same time, he added, Russia is increasing the number of troops and replenishing its losses. Moreover, the enemy is doing so at a fairly rapid pace.

"Russia is not only reinforcing personnel, but also replacing military equipment and ammunition at an unprecedented rate," Cavoli warned.

The US Army general also emphasized that any cessation of US arms and intelligence to Ukraine would be extremely harmful to its war effort, despite Kyiv's attempts to diversify its arms suppliers.
