Israel will try to negotiate with the United States to reduce tariffs. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has already arrived in Washington.

The publication notes that Netanyahu became the first foreign leader to fly to the United States to negotiate an agreement on tariffs imposed by Trump.
In addition to tariffs, the Israeli prime minister and the American president are expected to discuss Iran, the war in Gaza, efforts to return Israeli hostages, and the International Criminal Court, which issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu.
"The United States is Israel's closest ally and largest single trading partner. The two countries signed a free trade agreement 40 years ago, and about 98% of goods from the United States are tax-free," the article emphasizes.
Trump imposed tariffs
As a reminder, Trump signed a decree imposing a minimum 10 percent tariff on almost all goods entering the United States. For some countries, the tariffs are higher. In particular, China - 34%, the European Union - 20%.
Later it became known that Trump had declared a state of emergency in the country's economy.
