Russia’s offensive on Kharkiv and Sumy regions has actually already begun - Syrskyi

The Russian army continues its strategic offensive to seize Ukrainian territory. Over the past week, the enemy has almost doubled its activity on all major fronts.
According to Censor.NET, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said this in an interview with lb.ua.
"The enemy continues its strategic offensive operation to seize our territory, defeat our troops, advance into the depths, and seeks to completely capture the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as parts of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, and create a buffer zone in the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions. It is pursuing the goals or trying to fulfil the tasks it has been assigned," explained the Commander-in-Chief.
Responding to a remark that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with Le Figaro that Russia was preparing for a new offensive in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions, Syrskyi said:
I can say that the President is absolutely right, and this offensive has actually already begun. For several days now, almost a week, we have been witnessing an almost twofold increase in the number of enemy offensives on all major directions."
Earlier, the State Border Guard Service reported that the enemy had changed its tactics: Russian subversive reconnaissance groups are trying to enter Ukrainian territory in the south of Sumy region, closer to Kharkiv.
On 6 April, the Siversk TAC stated that the Russian army was moving certain groups closer to the northern border with Ukraine. However, there are no signs of a powerful group being formed.
