For control and repression: Russians have already created almost 30 "Cossack" formations in occupied territories, - NRC

The invaders are creating "Cossack" formations in the occupied territories of Ukraine - another tool for control and repression.
This was reported by the National Resistance Center (NRC), Censor.NET reports.
"Under the guise of 'restoring cultural heritage', Russia is creating a new system of pressure on the TOT - 'Cossack societies'," the statement said.
Thus, it is noted that 10 such formations have already been registered in the Luhansk region, 8 in the Donetsk and Kherson regions, and 3 more in Zaporizhzhia region.
"Formally, they are a 'tradition', but in fact they are auxiliary units for patrols, raids and their involvement in the 'education' of children in the spirit of obedience and hatred of Ukraine. "The 'Cossacks' act together with the police, hunt for dissenters, enter schools and impose the image of an 'Orthodox Russian warrior' on children," the NRC stressed.
