About six countries are ready to send troops to Ukraine - AFP

There are six countries in the "coalition of the willing" that are ready to send a military contingent to Ukraine.
This is reported by AFP, Censor.NET informs.
On 10 April, a meeting of the "coalition of the willing" led by France and the UK was held to ensure a ceasefire in Ukraine.
"Our planning is real and substantial. Our plans are well developed," UK defence minister John Healey told the meeting at NATO headquarters in Brussels.
London claimed that progress had been made in repeated rounds of talks. Other ministers, however, said that there was still uncertainty about the purpose of any possible deployment and whether it would be backed by US military might.
European officials say that so far, about six countries, including the UK, France and the Baltic states, have said they could provide troops.
While Swedish Minister Pal Jonson said that Stockholm had "a number of questions that we need to get clarified" before making any commitments.
"It's helpful if there's a clarity of what that mission would entail, and what do we do -- if we are peacekeeping, deterrence or reassurance," he said.
Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans is also interested in what to do in the event of different scenarios, for example, if there is an escalation on the part of Russia.
The main problem for European allies trying to create any plan is that they are largely unaware of the US and russian efforts to end the fighting.
On 10 April, NATO headquarters in Brussels hosted the first meeting of defence ministers in the format of the "coalition of the willing" to ensure long-term peace in Ukraine, launched in February by France and the UK. The meeting was attended by representatives of 30 countries from Europe and beyond, including New Zealand, Australia, and Japan.
