Witkoff met with Putin’s special envoy Dmitriev in St Petersburg
US President Donald Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, met with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's special envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, in St Petersburg today, 11 April.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the Russian "Interfax" news agency.
As noted, the meeting took place at the "Grand Europe" Hotel.
Earlier, the Kremlin reportedly confirmed that Witkoff had arrived in Russia and said it would report if he met with dictator Putin.
"Yes, I confirm that he has indeed arrived in Russia," said Dmitry Peskov.
Asked whether a meeting between Witkoff and Putin was planned, Peskov said: "If there is, we will inform you."
Earlier, it was reported that Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, had left for Russia, where he was expected to meet with dictator Vladimir Putin.
