Witkoff heads to Russia to meet with Putin - Axios

Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, has left for Russia, where he is expected to meet with dictator Vladimir Putin.

Axios writes about it, Censor.NET reports.

This will be the third meeting between Witkoff and Putin.

If a ceasefire is not reached by the end of the month, Trump may resort to additional sanctions against Russia. In particular, the US leader may ask Congress to pass a new sanctions law, the source said.

Earlier it was reported that special representatives of Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin - Steve Witkoff and Kirill Dmitriev - held their first meeting in Washington, which was the first visit of a senior Russian official to the United States after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
