Trump administration wants to conclude 90 trade deals in 90 days

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump wants to conclude 90 trade agreements in 90 days - the introduction of duties on more than 75 countries has been postponed for this period.
According to Censor.NET, citing Radio Liberty, this statement was made on Friday by Trump's trade adviser Peter Navarro.
According to him, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, U.S. Trade Representative Jamison Greer, and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick could handle this task.
So, we are going to conclude 90 deals in 90 days. It is possible," he said.
Navarro added that Trump will be "the main negotiator" because "nothing is done without his careful consideration."
It is noted that European Commission Trade Representative Maroš Šefčovič will arrive in Washington on Monday for tariff talks.
However, according to Reuters, Bessent will be in Buenos Aires that day to demonstrate support for Argentina's economic reforms. His absence from the meeting increases doubts among trade experts about how effectively the US presidential administration will be able to conduct so many negotiations simultaneously, the agency writes.
According to former US Trade Representative negotiator Wendy Cutler, reaching agreements that will satisfy both Trump and financial markets is a "huge task."
According to her, the Trump team may have to prioritize key countries and extend the 90-day pause for others.
Trump imposed tariffs
As a reminder, Trump signed a decree imposing a minimum 10 percent tariff on almost all goods entering the United States. For some countries, the tariffs are higher. In particular, China - 34%, the European Union - 20%.
Later it became known that Trump had declared a state of emergency in the country's economy.
The U.S. tariffs also affected Ukraine, with the U.S. imposing 10 percent duties on its goods.
China has announced that it will impose 34 percent duties on all American goods in response.
At the same time, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine believes that there are chances to negotiate other terms of trade with the United States. In addition, Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko assured that the US duty would not affect the exchange rate or food prices in Ukraine.
