Russians involved in Maidan dispersal and occupation of Crimea eliminated at frontline - media

Russian soldiers who took part in dispersal of Maidan died in war against Ukraine

Russians who took part in the occupation of Crimea and the dispersal of Euromaidan have been killed in the war against Ukraine.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by "Krym.Realii" with reference to the "Cargo 200" project.

It is noted that over the past two weeks, 33 new obituaries have appeared on the project's website, which documents the deaths of Crimeans who fought for Russia in the war against Ukraine. The list includes former law enforcement officers who took part in the occupation of Crimea and the dispersal of Euromaidan.

One of those killed is Yevgeny Kozlov from the village of Lenine, a former member of the Crimean "Berkut" who stood at checkpoints in the spring of 2014. The other is Kirill Blazhenko, who took part in the suppression of Maidan in Kyiv and was an active participant in the illegal annexation of Crimea in 2014.

As the journalists of the Radio Liberty project Krym.Realii found out, in 2017, Blazhenko was looking for a job as a driver in Yalta, and in his CV he wrote that from 2010 to 2015 he was "the commander of a reconnaissance landing unit".

Funerals for Russian military personnel killed in the war against Ukraine take place almost every day in Crimea. On 19 December 2024, Krym.Realii published the "Cargo 200" database with the first thousand identified Crimeans who fought in the Russian army and died in Russia's war against Ukraine.

The list contains information on the place of birth, place of conscription or recruitment to the Russian army (including the actual military unit), and - for some of the deceased - the exact or approximate place and date of death.

To date, the number of identified dead Crimeans in the war on the side of Russia against Ukraine has exceeded 1300.
