Duda on Naryshkin’s statement: It is Russia that is acting aggressively toward NATO

Andrzej Duda

Polish President Andrzej Duda has responded to Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergei Naryshkin's threats against Poland and the Baltic states.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Onet.

According to Duda, this statement is an example of "classic Russian disinformation, characteristic of the Soviet school of propaganda."

"This is coming from Russia, which is redeploying its nuclear weapons to Belarus, brazenly bringing it closer to the borders of NATO and the European Union. Russia, which is behaving aggressively towards NATO and pursuing its cruel and bloodthirsty imperialism by attacking Ukraine over the past three years," the Polish president emphasized.

He also added that NATO is a purely defensive alliance.

"Everything that NATO does is a response to Russian aggression... NATO has never attacked anyone and is not attacking anyone, it is an alliance that exclusively maintains security," Duda summarized.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergei Naryshkin said that Poland and the Baltic states, which he called "provocateurs," should realize that in the event of a possible NATO aggression against Russia and Belarus, they will be the first to be attacked.
