Vovchansk remains focal point of Russian activity – city is being shelled with all available weapons – Kharkiv OTG

Russian forces are attacking both in Vovchansk itself and in surrounding settlements in an attempt to outflank Ukrainian positions, but have not achieved any success so far.
As reported by Censor.NET, citing Ukrinform, this was stated during a television broadcast by Pavlo Shamshyn, spokesperson for the Kharkiv Operational Tactical Group.
According to him, the overall operational situation in the Kharkiv OTG’s (OTG) area of responsibility has not changed significantly in recent days and remains difficult.
"If we talk about the main focal point of enemy activity, it remains Vovchansk. The Russians are relentlessly shelling the city with all available weapons: various types of artillery, mortars, multiple launch rocket systems, and thermobaric systems operating from the area of Shebekino, across the border in Russia. Russian drones are also very active — both FPV drones and those used for dropping munitions," the spokesperson said.
Shamshyn emphasized that the Russians have not abandoned their intention to push the Defense Forces outside the city, conducting attacks both in Vovchansk and in the surrounding settlements to bypass Ukrainian positions, but have not yet been successful.
He noted that there are currently no attempts by Russians to force the Vovcha River, the last such attempts, he recalled, were in late February and early March, when the enemy tried to cross to the southern bank with infantry but was destroyed.
