In September, ruscists seized 259 km² of Ukraine’s territory, pace of occupation dropped almost twice - DeepState. INFOGRAPHICS
In September, the pace of Russian troops' occupation of Ukrainian territory slowed by almost half. The Russians managed to capture 259 square kilometers, the smallest amount since May.
This was reported by analysts at DeepState, according to Censor.NET.
As noted, last month the enemy occupied 44% less territory than in August. Over the course of the month, the Russians managed to occupy 0.04% of the country's total area, bringing the total figure to 19.04%.
Analysts have correlated assault operations and the ratio of lost territories by sections of the front:
- Novopavlivka – 53% of all square kilometers (16% of assault operations per month);
- Lyman - 19% sq. km (10% shd)
- Kupiansk - 14% sq. km (4% shd)
- Pokrovsk - 9% sq. km (31% of the total area)
- Toretsk - 4% sq. km (8% of the total area)
- Zaporizhzhia - 2% sq. km (2% of the total area)
- Siversk - 1% sq. km (7% of the region)
- Kramatorsk - 0% sq. km (3% shd)
- Sumy - 0% sq. km (5% shd)
Key findings of analysts:
Novopavlivka is the main problem area. Here, there are significantly more promotions than assault operations, and the latest personnel decisions do not inspire much hope for improvement.
Kupiansk became one of the leaders in the anti-rating, and if timely decisions had not been made, it could have ended in tragedy. But it is too early to say that the threat has passed, because the battle for the city continues.
Pokrovsk - the defense remains extremely effective, as every 10th square kilometer of occupation falls on this area, with a third of all assaults directed at Pokrovsk and its surroundings. However, the price of each meter here is significantly higher, and the enemy has come close to the city from the south, and fighting in the suburbs and in the city are different levels of complexity. In addition, there is practically no depth to the territory.
