Enemy attacked railway station in Sumy community with strike UAV: railway workers injured

Russians strengthen security on railways in Ukraine’s TOT

On the night of 23 October, Russian invaders attacked the Sumy region. The railway was hit.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov.

"A 35-year-old man with injuries was hospitalised, doctors are providing the necessary assistance – his life is not in danger.
The second victim was treated at the scene," the statement said.

Russian strikes on the railway

Russian occupiers are deliberately attacking railway facilities. From the beginning of August 2025 to October, approximately 300 attacks on Ukraine's railway infrastructure have been recorded.

The attacks are directed not only at trains and stations, but also at the electrical substations that power the railway networks. The goal is to paralyse Ukraine's logistics: military, economic and civilian.
