US and Russia working on new plan to end war in Ukraine, - Axios

The Donald Trump administration is holding private consultations with Russian representatives on developing a new approach to ending the war against Ukraine. The plan will consist of 28 key provisions.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Axios.
According to the publication, the 28-point US plan is inspired by the successful efforts of US President Donald Trump to reach a peace agreement on Gaza.
Points of the new plan
Axios sources said that the 28 points of the plan can be divided into four main categories:
- peace in Ukraine;
- safety guarantees;
- security in Europe;
- future relations between the US, Russia, and Ukraine.
At the same time, the publication writes that it is still unclear how the plan addresses such a complex issue as territory.
According to the American official, Trump's special representative Steve Witkoff is leading the development of the plan. He has already discussed it with Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev.
Dmitriev himself said in an interview with Axios that he spent three days with Witkoff and other members of Trump's team when he visited Miami from October 24 to 26.
He also expressed optimism about the chances of success for the agreement. According to him, unlike previous attempts, Moscow feels "that Russia's position is really being heard."
An American official confirmed to Axios that the White House has begun informing not only Ukrainian but also European officials about the new plan.
According to him, the Trump administration believes that there is a real chance to win over Ukraine and Europeans, and that the plan will be adapted based on proposals from various parties.
"We believe that now is the best time to implement this plan. But both sides must be practical and realistic," said the US official.
Vitkoff postponed the meeting with Zelenskyy
Axios also notes that Vitkoff was scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Turkey on Wednesday, but postponed his trip.
The media outlet further reports that the official confirmed to the publication that Vitkoff had already discussed the peace plan with NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov at a meeting in Miami earlier this week.
"We know that the Americans are working on something," the source said.
As reported, Trump is surprised by the duration of the war in Ukraine and has "another deal with Putin."
