Russia kills 19 people in Ternopil, dozens injured including children. VIDEO
On the night of 19 November, Russian forces launched more than 470 drones and 48 missiles of various types, ballistic and cruise, against Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this, Censor.NET notes.
"In Ternopil, there were impacts on residential nine-storey buildings, and fires broke out. Unfortunately, there is significant destruction of the buildings, and there may be people under the rubble. All the necessary services are working on site, trying to save every life. As of now, we know of dozens of injured people and, sadly, nine people have been killed. My condolences to their families.
There was also a massive strike on our Kharkiv already in the evening. Dozens of people in the city have been wounded, including children. Energy facilities, transport and civilian infrastructure have been damaged.
Our energy infrastructure in the Ivano-Frankivsk region was attacked. Three people were wounded there, two of them children.
In the Lviv region, they struck critical infrastructure and energy facilities. One person was wounded in the Donetsk region. Kyiv region, Mykolaiv region, Cherkasy region, Chernihiv region and Dnipropetrovsk region also came under attack," the statement said.
Zelenskyy called for stronger pressure on Russia.
"Effective sanctions and support for Ukraine can change this. Our top needs are air defence missiles, additional systems, increased capabilities of our combat aviation and drone production to protect lives. Russia must be held accountable for what it has done, and we must stay focused on everything that strengthens us and allows us to shoot down Russian missiles, neutralise Russian drones and stop assaults. I thank everyone in the world who is helping," he concluded.
Later, Interior Minister Klymenko said that 10 people had been killed in Ternopil and 37 people, including 12 children, had been wounded.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, 12 people were killed in Ternopil. Forty-nine others were wounded.
