Minister of National Defence David McGuinty said Canada will provide an additional $50 million for the "Drone Coalition".

Censor.NET reports this, citing Canada’s government website.

Canada’s Defense Ministry said that through the Drone Coalition, the country will continue to explore opportunities to expand support for Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces. These contributions complement the advanced military capabilities Canada has already provided.

Since 2022, Ottawa has allocated more than $296 million for optical and infrared surveillance and targeting systems. So far, Ukraine has received 140 such systems, with 18 more expected to be delivered in the coming months.

Canada will also continue transferring surplus equipment from its own armed forces, including engines and components for AIM-7 and AIM-9 missiles. Deliveries are expected to begin in early 2026.

The minister separately highlighted Canada’s $200 million contribution to a US-assembled military aid package under NATO’s Priority Ukraine Requirements List (PURL). The package is worth about $500 million and provides for air defense systems, ammunition, and other critical weapons identified by the Ukrainian side.
