"On Ukrainian Volunteer Day, the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology will host a screening and discussion of a film about Anton Bondarenko, a graduate of the educational program "Classical Philology and Western European Languages" who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war as a sergeant with promising academic prospects. But he chose to defend Ukraine," said the press service of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology named after Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

The creators of the film, Hryhorii Pyrlik and the film crew, Anton Bondarenko's family and friends, teachers, and students will join the screening.

The screening will take place on March 13 at 11:30 a.m. in the auditorium of the main building of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Anton Bondarenko (call sign Banderas) was a sergeant in the 13th Brigade of the NGU, "Khartiia." During an assault operation on September 15, 2025, while leading foreign fighters he had trained himself into battle, he was killed.
