Shaheds attack on 1 April 2026: how did the air defence system perform?

Russian occupiers have launched 339 UAVs of various types at Ukraine.

This was reported by the Air Force, according to Censor.NET.

Launches were recorded from the following locations: Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation; Gvardeyskoye – temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea; temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk.

Around 200 of them were "Shaheds".

How did the air defence perform?

As of 08:00, air defence systems had shot down or neutralised 298 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber, Italmas types and other types of drones in the north, south, east, west and centre of the country.

Hits by 20 attack UAVs were recorded at 11 locations, as well as the fall of downed UAVs (debris) at 5 locations.

The enemy’s attack is currently ongoing, with around 20 enemy UAVs in the airspace.
