Four people killed in Russian drone strike in Cherkasy region (updated)

Russian occupiers struck one of the districts in the Cherkasy region with a drone, killing four people.

"A Russian UAV has caused irreparable damage in the Cherkasy region. Four people have been killed in the Zolotonosha district. The incident occurred in an open area during an air raid alert.
Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the circumstances. The investigation is ongoing," the statement reads.
Update
Later, the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor’s Office provided details of the tragedy.
According to the agency, at about 1 p.m., during an air raid alert, the warhead of a UAV detonated after it fell in an open area between settlements in Zolotonosha district.
"As a result of the explosion, four local residents were killed after approaching the crash site out of curiosity," the statement said.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched into a war crime committed by the Russians under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
"Law enforcement agencies and rescue services once again stress that any fragments of UAVs, missiles or other explosive objects pose a deadly threat," the prosecutor’s office said.
