Since start of day, enemy launches 64 attacks: Pokrovsk direction sees heaviest fighting – General Staff
Since the beginning of the day on Wednesday, 1 April, the aggressor has carried out 64 attacks along the front.
This is stated in the General Staff of Ukraine’s report as of 4:00 p.m., Censor.NET reports.
Enemy shelling
Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today in the Sumy region, the settlements of Tovstodubove, Korenok, Bachivsk, Vilna Sloboda, Ryzhivka, Khodyne, Fotovyzh, Iskryskivshchyna, and Kysla Dubyna came under fire. In addition, the enemy launched airstrikes near the settlements of Luzhky and Esman in the Sumy region.
Situation in the north
In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy continues attacks on our troops’ positions near the settlement of Myropilske. In addition, the enemy carried out 63 shelling attacks on settlements and positions of our troops, one of them using multiple launch rocket systems.
Fighting in the Kharkiv region
- In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy twice assaulted our units’ positions near the settlements of Starytsia and Krasne Pershe.
- In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy made eight attempts to improve its tactical position near the settlements of Kurylivka, Pishchane, Kivsharivka, and Novoplatonivka. Five engagements are ongoing.
Fighting in the east
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled four attempts by the invaders to advance toward the settlement of Lyman.
In the Sloviansk and Kramatorsk directions, the enemy did not conduct active operations.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the invaders carried out 13 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Stepanivka, Yablunivka, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have attempted 18 times to push our troops out of their positions near the settlements of Bilytske, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Novomykolaivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novopidhorodne, and Filiia. Two engagements are ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy carried out three assaults near Oleksandrohrad and Novohryhorivka. Two engagements are ongoing.
Situation in the south
- In the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled 10 enemy attacks near Varvarivka, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Tsvitkove, Hirke, Sviatopetrivka, Olenokostiantynivka, and Myrne. The enemy launched airstrikes near Vozdvyzhenske, Verkhnia Tersa, and Huliaipilske. Three more engagements are ongoing.
- In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes near the settlements of Mykilske and Tavriiske.
- In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy conducted two unsuccessful attacks toward the Antonivskyi Bridge and near Bilogrudyi Island.
No significant changes have been recorded in other directions. No enemy attempts to advance have been observed.
"Ukrainian troops are wearing down the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear," the General Staff added.
