After the drone strike on the night of 1 April, Russia carried out repeated UAV attacks on Ukraine. During the day, air defense forces neutralized 345 Russian drones.

How many drones did the enemy use?
The Air Force said that during the daytime, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Ukraine was attacked by more than 360 enemy strike UAVs (about 250 of them Shaheds).
- Taking into account the nighttime attack, from 6:00 p.m. on 31 March to 6:00 p.m. on 1 April 2026 (over the course of the notional 24-hour period), the enemy used more than 700 strike drones of the Shahed type, Gerbera drones, and drones of other types.
- In particular, according to preliminary data, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on 1 April, the enemy used 361 strike UAVs.
During the day, the overwhelming majority of the drones approached from the southeastern direction, heading west.
It is reported that as a result of the Russian terrorist attack, 14 hits were recorded and there were casualties.
How did air defense perform?
The Air Force noted that all available air defense assets were involved in repelling the air attack: manned aircraft, anti-aircraft drones, electronic warfare systems, and ground-based air defense.
According to preliminary data, as of 6:00 p.m., air defense had shot down or suppressed 345 enemy UAVs.
"Combat operations are ongoing, and several enemy UAVs remain in the airspace. Take care of yourselves and follow safety rules!" the Air Force urged.
