Poland detains two Ukrainians for illegally transporting 12 Russians

In Poland, border guards detained two Ukrainian citizens who were illegally transporting 12 Russian citizens across the country's territory.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by RMF24.

The incident occurred on March 31 in the town of Sanok during a routine inspection of transport routes from southern Europe. Border guards stopped a bus carrying Russians without the necessary documents.

What law enforcement established

During the inspection, it turned out that none of the passengers had the right to cross the Polish-Slovak border or stay in Poland. According to the border guards, these citizens had applied for residency in Hungary and were supposed to be there.

The Russians confessed to illegally crossing the border. The court sentenced them to six months in prison, suspended for two years, and also banned them from entering the Schengen Area countries.

What threatens the Ukrainians

The two Ukrainians who organized the transportation and drove the bus were detained. They were charged with organizing an illegal border crossing.

The court sentenced them to one year in prison, suspended for two years.

Following the completion of the procedures, all 12 Russian citizens were ordered to leave the territory of Poland — they have already departed for Belarus.
