Ruscists have new targets - bridges, dams, hydroelectric power plants and pumping stations, - Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia will target Ukraine’s logistics and water supply systems this spring and summer.
According to Censor.NET, citing a report from LB.ua, the head of state made this statement during a conversation with journalists.
What is known?
"This involves major infrastructure projects—bridges, dams, hydroelectric power plants—as well as pumping stations, drinking water supply systems, and so on. We need to prepare for this just as we are currently preparing to protect our energy sector."
The Air Force is already working to strengthen air defense capabilities and integrate systems accordingly; in some areas, additional physical protection is still needed. All regional authorities and communities must be involved in the necessary preparations. In every village and city, village heads and mayors must take charge of this. They must know what is most essential there—without which there will be no sewage system or drinking water. Maximum protection is required," he said.
What happened before?
In late March 2026, Zelenskyy reported that the enemy was preparing an operation against Ukraine’s water supply systems in the coming months.
