Ukraine proposed an Easter ceasefire and expects U.S. support, Zelenskyy says

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on coordination with partners to bring the war to an end.

He said this on Telegram, Censor.NET reports.

Details of the conversation

During the phone call, the leaders of Ukraine and Britain discussed coordination with partners on ending the war, including communication with the U.S. team.

"We proposed a ceasefire for the Easter holidays and expect the United States to support us. Ukraine is doing everything possible to make diplomacy work. But we see no readiness whatsoever from Russia. The only things that can change their mindset are pressure and resolve from our partners, and the resilience of our warriors," Zelenskyy said.

In addition, Zelenskyy briefed Starmer on the situation on the front line and the meetings in the Middle East.
