Obukhiv paper mill halts production after Russian drone strike

The Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill in Obukhiv, Kyiv Oblast, has suspended operations following today’s Russian drone attack.
As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the company’s press service.
For safety reasons and to handle the aftermath of the strike, production at the mill’s facilities has been temporarily halted.
"On April 3, 2026, the Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill once again came under attack as a result of an enemy strike. For safety reasons and to handle the aftermath, the production process at the company’s facilities has currently been temporarily suspended," the company’s press service said.
What is known
The company stresses that it produces only consumer goods and has nothing to do with military infrastructure or defence orders.
It emphasises that the strike on the mill was an attack on civilian industry and the basic needs of the population.
The forced shutdown of the enterprise may affect the stability of supplies of paper products used in daily life.
These include sanitary and hygiene products, paper and corrugated packaging, including goods sold under the Obukhiv 65 and Dyvo brands.
Situation at the enterprise
The mill says employee safety remains its top priority.
The company’s management and the relevant services are constantly monitoring the situation and hope operations will resume as soon as possible.
