Defense Ministry prepares series of decisions for military: changes to mobilization and AWOL, terms of service, payments
The Defense Ministry is preparing a number of decisions following a meeting between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
This was reported by the Defense Ministry’s press service, Censor.NET reports.
What changes are planned?
Among the tasks for the next few weeks are:
- Key changes to the mobilization process and AWOL.
- Separate approaches for assault troops and infantry regarding terms of service.
- Financial support for infantry.
This will be a package of specific projects aimed at strengthening Ukrainian infantry and improving the contract system in the Defense Forces.
"The decisions will be practical and will actually work in the military," the ministry said.

- As Mykhailo Fedorov stressed, the Defense Ministry has already held discussions with infantrymen and assault troops on the decisions being prepared for the army.
