Lifting sanctions against Russia after Minsk II implementation jeopardizes Crimea's reclamation, - Chubarov
Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Poroshenko Bloc deputy Refat Chubarov fears the removal of economic sanctions from Russia for the implementation of the Minsk agreements will lead to an ultimate occupation of the annexed Crimea.
He said this during the annual meeting of the Mejlis leadership with the heads of the diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Ukraine, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny."With all the circumstances that we agree or disagree upon and that led to the Minsk process, Crimea's de-occupation was unfairly taken beyond its frames... The participants of the process don't tell us all the truth... But reiteration by Ukrainian partners that Russia will be freed of economic sanctions after the fulfillment of Minsk II poses a real threat of losing Crimea," he said.
Chubarov also said that the rights of Crimean Tatars would further be neglected in Crimea and the situation would get even worse if the international community did not change its policy.
