NABU investigating case of six corrupted judges, - Sytnyk
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine notified about six judges suspected of receiving undue benefits.
Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) Artem Sytnyk announced, Censor.NET reports citing 112 TV Channel.Answering the question on how many judges NABU has brought to justice, Sytnyk said, "We declared suspicion in bribery to six judges."
"The last one was the judge from Odesa who, as you know, opened fire. Pre-trial investigation of the case is completed, the defendant is acquainting himself with the materials of the criminal proceeding," the official said. He also expressed hope that the case will be referred to the court by end of June.
Explaining the fact that few judges were brought to account, Sytnyk complained about leakage of information. According to him, a number of planned investigative actions and decisions were disrupted because of the judges had access to the closed part of the decisions regarding the planned searches.
