Lviv court sentences militants’ informant to eight years in prison
The Lviv Court of Appeal has extended the sentence to a militants’ agent from two to eight years.
Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine.The Lviv Regional Court of Appeal has changed the verdict of the Halytskyi district court of Lviv, which sentenced informant of the militants for two years and three months in prison without confiscation of property. The court found the perpetrator guilty as charged under Part 1of the Article 258-3 (assistance for the activities of a terrorist group or terrorist organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to eight years in prison.
The SBU detained terrorists' informant in the Donetsk region in March 2015. A resident of Marinka district was collecting information on Ukrainian troops' equipment movement and places of deployment and passed it to the terrorists. He was also surveilling the Ukrainian checkpoints. In addition, the perpetrator adjusted fire of militants' artillery.
