Former MP Yefremov remanded in 60-day custody
As reported by Censor.NET correspondent, the decision was announced by investigating judge Volodymyr Karaban after hearing the prosecution, the defense, and Yefremov himself at the session on Monday.
"The motion shall be granted," the judge said.
As reported, on the morning of July 30, Yefremov was detained in Boryspil airport on suspicion of infringement of the territorial integrity of Ukraine. The detention was intended to prevent possible escape of the suspect. In the evening of the same day he was served with an indictment.
The PGO had detained former MP Yefremov previously. He had been arrested with the possibility of release on a 3.7 million hryvnia bail and bailed out by his colleague MP Borys Kolesnikov.
The court ordered the notorious politician to wear an electronic bracelet.
According to investigators, current charges against Yefremov are related to financing separatists in the Luhansk region.
As also reported, several criminal proceedings have been instituted against Yefremov.
