Breakthrough occurred only on tactical level, not across entire front, - Butusov

Butusov answered whether there had been a turning point on the front lines

There has indeed been a turning point on the front lines, but only at the tactical level. It has not yet become a turning point at the strategic level.

This was stated on Radio NV by Yurii Butusov, commander of the UAV platoon of the 13th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Khartiia" according to Censor.NET.

"A turning point in the war is currently taking place at the tactical level, it has not yet occurred at the operational and strategic levels. I have said this many times: the current turning point lies in the qualitative and quantitative growth of the UAV units within the Ukrainian Defense Forces," he explained.

Butusov noted that UAVs have now become the backbone of the Defense Forces’ combat formations, there has also been an increase in the quantity and quality of operations, and—though still at an insufficient level—the scale of supply, production, the number of drones, and the infrastructure for their deployment are improving.

However, according to the commander, such a significant increase in the number of UAV positions in combat formations has made it practically impossible for the enemy to overcome such a dense drone-infantry defense, even using infiltration tactics, since any advance inflicted and continues to inflict heavy losses on the enemy.

"Therefore, it can be said that, at the tactical level, Russian infiltration tactics can no longer be employed as they were a year ago, because they are meeting fairly strong resistance everywhere. The enemy is advancing only where it manages to gain a local advantage in the air.

So there really is a turning point, but this turning point is exclusively at the tactical level, it is far from being across the entire front, and it has not yet become a turning point at the strategic level," he concluded.
